DISTRIBUTION CENTER MANAGER

1. Distribution Center Operations Management
Manage all day-to-day operations of the Distribution Center.
Develop, implement, and control warehouse operating procedures.
Ensure receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities are performed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
Allocate manpower and resources according to workload and operational plans.
Monitor and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
Ensure the Distribution Center meets productivity, quality, and service-level targets.
2. Inventory Management
Manage and control inventory levels at the Distribution Center.
Ensure goods are stored properly, in the correct locations, and under appropriate storage conditions.
Maintain inventory accuracy between physical stock and system records.
Coordinate periodic stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
Monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, damaged, or obsolete goods and recommend appropriate actions.
Ensure proper inventory handling and stock rotation in accordance with product requirements and Company procedures
3.Order Fulfillment & Distribution Management
Plan and coordinate outbound operations to ensure timely store replenishment.
Ensure orders are prepared and dispatched to the correct stores, in the correct quantities, and according to schedule.
Coordinate with the Logistics/Transportation team to ensure efficient distribution.
Monitor delivery progress and resolve issues that may affect distribution schedules.
Work closely with relevant departments to ensure product availability for business operations.
4. Warehouse Systems & Technology
Manage and ensure effective use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
Establish and maintain standardized operating procedures within the system.
Monitor data accuracy and ensure consistency between system records and physical operations.
Recommend improvements to warehouse systems, technology, and operating methods to enhance efficiency
5. Safety, Quality & Compliance
Ensure Distribution Center operations comply with Company policies, procedures, and relevant standards.
Establish and maintain safety standards for warehouse operations, goods, and employees.
Ensure products are handled and stored according to applicable requirements.
Identify operational risks and implement appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
Coordinate with relevant departments on inspections, audits, and corrective actions related to quality and compliance.
6. People & Performance Management
Manage, assign, and coordinate the Distribution Center workforce.
Set performance objectives and monitor KPIs for operational teams.
Train, coach, and develop employees to improve operational capabilities.
Evaluate employee performance and recommend solutions to improve productivity.
Build a professional, safe, disciplined, and collaborative working environment.
Develop manpower and succession plans for key positions within the Distribution Center
7. Cost Management & Operational Improvement
Monitor and control Distribution Center operating costs.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve productivity.
Optimize the use of warehouse space, manpower, equipment, and other resources.
Monitor operational KPIs and analyze root causes of performance gaps.
Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Benchmark and adopt relevant best practices in warehouse and Distribution Center management.
8. Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Store Operations, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth product flow and distribution.
Maintain effective working relationships with transportation providers, service vendors, and relevant business partners.
Coordinate the resolution of issues related to receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and distribution.
Ensure timely and accurate communication of operational information among relevant stakeholders.
9. Reporting & Analysis
Monitor and provide regular reports on Distribution Center performance.
Report on inventory, productivity, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, distribution performance, operating costs, and operational issues.
Analyze operational data and recommend improvement actions.
Escalate risks and critical issues that may impact business operations in a timely manner.

1.Education
Bachelor s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management are an advantage.
2. Experience
7–10 years of experience in Warehouse, Distribution Center, Logistics, or Supply Chain operations.
At least 3 years of management experience in Distribution Center, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, or a similar position.
Proven experience managing a large-scale Distribution Center or warehouse operation.
Experience in developing and improving warehouse operating processes.
Experience in inventory management, inbound/outbound operations, and distribution to a store network.
Experience in managing operational teams and budgets.
3.Professional Knowledge
Strong knowledge of warehouse and Distribution Center operations.
Solid understanding of inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes.
Experience using WMS or other warehouse management systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use operational data to support decision-making.
Knowledge of the retail market in Vietnam is an advantage
